Colorful Expressions

Facepaints aren't just for Halloween; they are for all-the-time fun. But as Halloween approaches, we know that many of you are looking for the safest, best option for facepaints. Luna Organics is our top choice when it comes to creating the perfect colorful expression.

Allison Reedy, founder of Luna Organics, noticed the lack of natural facepaints for children when her two daugthers performed in their end-of-year dance show. She didn't want to put just anything on her daughters' precious faces, so she decided to make it herself. She would hand-select every ingredient and research the safest materials for sensitive, young skin.

Luna Organics facepaints are handmade in New Hampshire using natural mineral pigments. They are hypoallergenic, gentle on the skin and FDA-approved. Allison chose to use mineral pigments in lieu of FD&C dyes to avoid the irritation that can sometimes occur when the dyes are absorbed into the skin. Because mineral pigments sit on top of the skin, they are not absorbed. This gives the facepaint a lightweight feel and makes for super easy application.

Health and safety are central to Luna Organics. They are proud signers of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. Their dedication to safe materials even extends to their containers, which are all BPA and Phthalate-free. Now that's something we can all appreciate.
