Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty

Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty

Every once in a while there is a company and product that is so in-line with our creativity and values, we get giddy. Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty has been making us smile since we received our first shipment a few weeks ago. It’s the gooiest, bounciest, coolest thing we’ve seen in a while.

Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty

Thinking Putty appeals to people of all ages and abilities because it can be used as a stress ball, a therapy toy, a bouncy ball, a desk toy and so much more. It’s a great way to foster creativity, increase hand strength and help you focus while keeping your hands busy. And, it’s FUN too!

Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty

Crazy Aaron first created his putty back in the late 1990’s when he was building websites in an office setting. He was inspired to develop the perfect desk toy, which took off after he placed an order for 100 pounds of bouncing putty. He experimented and did research for his product until he concocted a whole line of great colors and textures. It wasn’t soon after that his coworkers began stopping by his cubicle to buy their own tin of Thinking Putty.

When the demand for Thinking Putty outgrew what Aaron was able to make in his mother’s basement, he moved the manufacturing to a vocational facility in suburban Philadelphia. His company now provides jobs and teaches practical skills to exceptional people with special needs.

Thinking Putty comes in a rainbow of colors with a variety of weird features. One of our favorites in the Strange Attraction Putty, which is magnetized and does some really cool stuff. Below is a time-lapse video that shows the putty looking kind of like “The Blob” as it consumes a super-strong magnet.

There are a bunch of putties that glow in the dark or are hypercolor, which means that they change color slightly as their temperature changes from absorbing your body heat. Liquid Glass is also pretty bizarre because it’s perfectly clear and looks like a gelatinous, melted window pane. Thinking Putty never dries out and comes packaged in its own reusable tin for easy portability.

If you’re looking for something cool to throw in your travel bag, keep on your desk at work or to round out an Easter basket for some kiddos you know, Thinking Putty is the greatest.
